Thanks for checking out my Bonfire Chats blog. I wanted a section to post updates, share stories, safety talks, and other content. I'd also like to share the stories of other skydivers. This gear giveaway is a way to share my student's skydiving stores and give back to them.
Share your skydiving story for a chance to win an ARES II digital altimeter($420) from LB. I am out at the Parachute Industry Association Symposium and was fortunate enough to win this lovely Ares II in a drawing. I am already all set with visual altimeters like the Insight and Orbit from Deep and Steep as well as DigiAlti's from Freefall Data Systems so I would love to pass this altimeter along to one of the newer jumpers I've worked with.
Please email a story about your journey or experience skydiving and a skydiving photo. This is intentionally open ended. It can just be about an entertaining jump. It can be about weather day shenanigans. It can be about overcoming fear etc. Just tell a story about skydiving and I can share it on the "Student Perspective" section of the blog. We'll pick one at the end of the month and they will win a brand new Ares II from LB!
Must be a current or former student of mine (within the past year) to win but stories from anyone and everyone will be posted to the website! If you already have an altimeter and win this, I would encourage you to pass it along (or your older one) to a deserving newer jumper.
